Why It’s A Happy Easter: Faith, Family & Simple Joys

Easter has always been more than just a holiday to me. As a Christian, it’s the heart of my faith. Jesus rising from the dead, bringing hope, healing, and the promise of new life. That truth alone makes Easter worth celebrating. Friends and family come together in the most beautiful way.

We start the day bright and early. our kids wake us up usually before the sun rises. we hurry downstairs and they dive right into their easter baskets. as the morning excitement dies down a bit, we come together at the table and eat a bit hearty easter breakfast.

the best part of the day is taking the kids to easter service at church. its amazing to be surrounded by music, worship, and that deep sense of joy you can almost feel in the air. No matter how many Easters I’ve lived through, I still tear up during the songs. It’s like my soul remembers. this is what it’s all about.

Then it’s home for the fun stuff: egg hunts in the yard (yes, even the big kids still get into it), kids playing outside, extra Easter treats given by neighbors and family members, and a table full of food that tastes like tradition. Ham or steak, rolls, deviled eggs plus way too many desserts. But the best part? Everyone gathered together, laughing, sharing stories, and making memories.

Easter reminds me of what matters most: faith, family, and the little things that make life sweet. That’s why I’ll always love it.
